The sun was shining, people were smiling and this weekend we got to perform at two of the most stunning wedding venues in the UK.

We kicked off the afternoon at Aldwick Estate for Simon & Jamie’s wedding playing a selection of classic songs requested by the bride and groom. The guests enjoyed champagne, sunshine and some light acoustic music while they had a good old family catch up.

The venue itself could not have been better with some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we have encountered. Their claim on the website to say ‘we uphold a solid tradition of hospitality’ are the choice words for the tin.

Simon & Jamie were a lovely couple and were kind enough to say these words about our performance. ‘ We had The Hot Hats perform at our wedding at Aldwick Estate on 02/06/18, and I’d like to thank you very much! So many guests commented on how great you were and song choices were perfect! Thank you.

The second half of our day and evening was to be at Oxwich Bay in Wales, it was another 3hr journey but we had drinks, pasties and plenty of CD’s (remember them?) to keep us entertained.

We arrived in plenty of time to set up for Jane & Stuarts party and we were instantly welcomed by the couple and members of staff who we are now getting to know us quite well having performed in Oxwich Bay many times as well as being a recommended act at the venue.

Jane & Stuart are keen surfers so to have a beach wedding was a dream come true. With plenty of singing and dancing it was a fantastic evening, I even bumped into an old musician friend Sir Robin Phillips who said he had retired but we had him up and singing with us to his delight. https://www.oxwichbayhotel.co.uk/weddings/

All in all it was one of the most enjoyable musical days the Hot Hats have had.
